The only Item I wanted in Target was the Ipod for my grandson. So excitidly I asked and the gentleman with his clip board said " YES" we have them left, but had to put my name on the list to secure it ( only so many left) and stand in line Oh my dear what a line, But as long as I was secured that Ipod I would wait in that line. So we waited and waited. We took turns in line to go shop a few things and come back to keep our spot . Stood there for almost two hours, as we got about 5th in line the cashier yells out to the line - Ipods are Gone.. Now just wait a second did I not put my name on that list to secure one of the count they had? Uh Huh I did. Here is where the Nite mare begins !! Through alot of arguing and not giving up the manager finally comes back and says = Ok this is what i will do I have 8 of he bigger Ipods left and I will give them to the first 8 people at the sale price that get up to the counter first ( OMG) So off I went - YEah Made it first ( not bad for this old lady).
Then the Jerk says, oh you have to wait in line. I was like you little jerk you just said .... ok smart ass I will go back in line you have 8 left and Im only 5th in line now - so I will wait ! And I did Then I get 2nd in Line and he looks to the crowd to say ONLY 2 Left and of cource people become like a cattle proding. I was like Hey You A** I followed your damn rules down to this place I want that ipod, hE sarcastically says " Fine You got one". BUT now I have it in hand standing at electronics counter to pay for it feel like I won the battle only to be told. We can not give you the Free $40 Gift Card as adverticed because we had to give yout the bigger Ipod - Never mind it was there fault for not doing a proper count of what they had and making people stand in a line for 2 hours after being told thier name was on the list !!
Ok so at this point pay for the Ipod- go to customer service up front to argue this battle- I want the adverticed Free $40 Target Gift Card with Purchase of Item. I am supposed to have this, it is Targets Major Screw up not the me the Customer !. Unable to get it because the computer will not allow it with the bigger ipod.
My next step is to Contact Corporate office with this!
PS there must have been 50 more customers behind me in line all told YES they secured an Ipod - I shutter to think what happened after I left!
