Couponing for Soldiers at War ! How to participate: I would like to ask as many readers and followers of Nana's Deals and More that would like to join me on this mission this year and help send items to Coastal Bend Troop Support Inc.,to fill all those care packages. As many of you know I personally have a son who is currently serving in Afghanistan right now. I was put in touch with a wonderful organization Coastal Bend Troop Support Inc.,that by anyone request will take a soldier from the moment of deployment until they return back home. And each month they send that soldier a personal care package for their entire time of deployment. Not just ONE box but EVERY MONTH that soldier gets a Box. And along with special Holiday Care Packages s as well.
Coastal Bend Troop Support Inc., a nonprofit public charity organization that sends care packages to the military is in need of public support. Care packages are sent each month The organization supports between 100 and 120 individuals and send them monthly packages as long as they are deployed and also support five to 10 chaplains or other contact personnel who can reach a wider range of troops. A total of 120 to 150 boxes are mailed each month, you can also add your soldier to their list on the website * Please see a list of items below that are great for sending for the Soldier's care packages *

Below I have added some ideas of items that you can send to them.
Drink Items- Individual Pouch items such as propel, crystal light, Gatorade that can be added to a bottle of water to flavor. Instant Coffee singles or small jars (plastic) Hot Chocolate, etc. There is a huge variety of individual powder drink mixes on the market ! Food Items - Beef Jerky, Summer Sausage Rolls, Indv Microwavable Soup Bowls,Ramon Noodles, Mac n Cheese, Single serve Fruit Cans with pop top lids, etc. Cookies, Chips, Candy, Peanuts, Trail Mixes, Gum, Granola and Cereal Bars, Little Debbi Snacks and other indv wrapped , hostess pies etc.
Jars Peanut Butter - Things must be non perishable, also the single serve meals that are shelf ready that can be microwaved ( i.e Hormel etc). Instant Oatmeal, Ind Cereal Bowls Boxes.Ind Vienna Sausages, Tuna Pouches, Spam Pouches. There are lots of ready to eat shelf ready items on the market.
Personal Hygiene Items, Body Wash, Soaps, Toothpaste, Tooth Brushes, Razors- remember both male and female. Pain relief Hot Patches, rechargeable battery operated shavers, floss.Chopsticks, Moist Baby Wipes, Personal Cleaning Clothes, Female Sanitary Items ( pads, tampons, etc).
Other Items - Batteries, Cards, Hand Held Games, Domino's,DVDs, Computer Games, Music Cd's, Books, Portable CD and DVD Players, Puzzle and Cross Word Books, Note Paper, Envelopes, Stamps, Pens, Pencils.One time use Hand Warmers, Bug Repellent ( I would recommend the indv wrapped wipes, Battery operated Socks.
