They are roomy and nice size compartments. Our kids like to take lunch from home to school because of the recent portion cuts- they just don't get enough for lunch to hold them over. However they are not leak proof so take caution when packing things like this- I found that if I take some plastic wrap and put over then apply lid , that works great.

These work great at home also for toddlers - keeping food separated and less spill messes with finger foods.We do allot of boating and out door activities as well in the summer and these will come in handy for the boat and picnics at the park .
