Waking them up to take a temp is the worst thing. Also as someone who works in the medical field taking care of terminally ill patients, its going to be great not disturbing the person. Its so invasive and I love that about it.
I only had to be about 3 inches away. I even tested it on the cat and it worked great. This is a must have for every parent . I love that it is sanitary no touching means no cleaning it between use. It has a one touch mode button to switch between person or object.
