Fry Bread Tacos - Recipe !!

Fry Bread Tacos

This is one of those really filling meals. Generally I do not make anything else to go with it as 1 Taco is enough for a Meal

Dough - Makes 8 Large Fry Breads
3 cups All-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups warm water

* You can also use (1) Loaf of Frozen Bread Dough thawed and cut in 4 equal portions. A little more pricey but works jus the same. The above recipe is pretty quick to make .

Directions: Mix flour, baking powder, salt in a mixing bowl. Form a well in the center and add the water and mix till a soft dough. You  may have to add more flour to get a nice soft ball to kneed. Cover the bowl and let rest for about 15 minutes. Divide into 8 equal portions and roll out to a nice circle about 6 inches in diameter. Fry in abot 2 inches of Hot Oil turning only once, remove and drain on paper towels -  This is the size I make ( this is on wax paper before frying)

Top each Taco with your favorite taco meat ( beef or chicken), Shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, sour cream, taco sauce - what ever you like on your taco's.

Enjoy !
