I have been dealing with chronic joint pain and inflammation for years. I am also anti Western medicine, seems one RX leads to another to combate the side effects. So for me Natural Holistic is my go-to ! I wanna know what I'm eating, drinking putting in or on my body is all natural. This ice tea is delicious, golden and really helps me. Two main ingredients
are Ginger and Tumeric ! Both natural spices both help alleviate my inflammation and pain.
A little about these wonderful spices before I show you how to make the tea
Tumeric- has been used in many traditional medicines for lessoning the pain of sprains, strains, bruises and joint inflammation. The healing power of turmeric comes from its active ingredient "curcumin" which lowers the levels of two enzymes in the body that cause inflammation.
Ginger - Is a natural anti-inflammatory, has been used for thousands of years by the chinese to cure pain. ginger also helps relieve nausea, arthritis, headaches, menstrual cramps and muscle soreness.
How I make My Golden Tea
(6) Tea Bags
(2 1/2) TBS Tumeric Powder
(2 1/2) TBS Ginger Powder
1/4 Cup of Honey
WATER
Gallon Pitcher
I start with two small pots
To the first part I ad in the tea bags and about 4 cups water, bring to a boil , turn off and let tea bags steeps .
To another pot ad 3 Cups Water, Ginger, Tumeric and Honey and simmer to release all those spices.
Next ad the strained Tea to a heat proof pither . Then ad your spice mix. You can use a very fine mesh strainer to strain if you like , I prefer to just dump it all in.
Give a quick stir and then top with cold water, stir and enjoy over Ice.
This makes (1) gallon.
